Medical transcription

Medical transcription, also known as MT, is an allied health profession, which deals in the process of transcription, or converting voice-recorded reports as dictated by physicians or other healthcare professionals, into text format.

The doctors in United States record the entire patient's information and it is converted into voice mail then it is sent to India through internet. The Medical Transcriptionist in India loads this voice file in the system using media player. With the help of headphone they listen to the doctor's dictation and transcribe in a word document. It is proofread, edited and finally uploaded to United States. This mechanism is utilized for insurance claims.

Medical Transcriptionist's are an assistant to United States Doctors (Being in India they can work for United States Hospitals & Doctors) One of the interesting and booming field for graduates, housewives and retired employees where they can work and earn either from home or office. Good listening skills and basic English knowledge is essential for Medical Transcription. Graduates of any stream are eligible for Medical Transcription. Both day and night shifts are available.

Intensive Online training is given through online voice / video chatting. Maximum 2 hours per day for theory and practical session, which includes Anatomy, Physiology, Medical terminologies, American accent, Practical guidance classes.
The assignments can be done through offline for a minimum of 4 hours per day as per the student's convenience.
After successful completion of training YOGAM BPO provides assured Placement for Home-Based MT's.
Initially the payment will be Rupee one per line for above 95% of accuracy. Payment will be increased step-by-step based on the accuracy. TAT (Turn Around Time) will be 8 hours. An MT can earn Rs.10, 000 – 45,000 per month based on quality and quantity.
